My week on Instagram #2

It's been a while since Instagram has become a day to day tool to document my  whereabouts and keeping up with my intention of documenting our lives like a Mormon, here you have the last two weeks in Instagram snapshots (yes, the last two weeks because being here and there prevented me to do it last week). For more photos, follow me: @letifretes

The Walking Girls and The View

Food
Food plan: I’ve been reading a lot about the famous paleo diet. I haven’t started head on yet but I have increased the amount of lean protein, almonds and green vegetables, reduced the quantity of fruit and dairy and I’m only having rye bread with sunflower seeds for breakfast, no bread after lunch.
Food journal: logged my food journal every day in MyFitnesspal.com and managed to stay on track with the calories intake.
Food cravings:  Hot, spicy and delicious curry. I’ve indulge myself on Tuesday with a wonderful lamb madras from Muntaz Indian Restaurant in Coin.

Breakfast: poached egg, sunflower farm bread and coffee with skimmed milk.
Snack: chocolate protein shake - Lunch: Curry Madras - Dinner: Salad with Burgos cheese and tuna

Happy or moody most of the time?  Happy most of the time. All the exercise time is giving more energy to tackle on with the rest of my day so I’m feeling fine and also Barcelona beat Real Madrid on Sunday which greatly contributed to my good mood.
Best moment this week: Walking and enjoying good company and a wonderful spring weather.
Worst moment this week: How trashed I felt after my first day at level 2 of 30 Days Shredded with Jillian Michaels.
Miss anything?  My husband
Looking forward to: going to London next Friday and finally seeing my DH after a whole month apart. It has been the longest we have been apart.

Day at the hairdresser: color and styling gets you a long way!

14 things I love about my husband

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner so I have decided to do a list of the 14 things I love about my dearie husband, to try to express how thankful I am for having this wonderful man in my life.

Here are 14 reasons, in no particular order, for why I love him:

1.  He loves me for who I am and he tells me so often even though most of the
     time don't believe him.
2.  He knows how to say “sorry” and is trying hard to teach me to say it too.
3.  He never forgets to kiss me goodbye or goodnight.
4.  He’s loyal and trustworthy.
5.  He supports my dreams and tries to help me achieve them.
6.  He is my other half. I fit so perfectly in his arms whether we’re hugging, or spooning in bed, we fit like we’re custom-made for one another.
7.  He is intelligent, smart, competitive and ambitious which makes our lives
     very interesting.
8.  He dreams big, and he isn't afraid to reach for things that many people wouldn’t.
9.  He is proud of us.
10. He is not afraid of experimenting things together.
11. He never yells or raise his voice in anger.
12. He has the best taste in music, just like I do.
13. He is a great cook and makes the best mushroom and goat cheese risotto there is.
14. He’s my best friend.

We've been together for eight years and he is still the one I long to see each day and the one that makes my day complete.

Sometimes I think that we take for granted the good things and the people that we love, I know that I do, because is easy to get entangled in life and harp on any little thing that bother us instead of seeing the goodness around.

It is one of my New Year’s resolutions to get better at not taking people for granted that and be thankful, not only in my head and in my heart but to actually say it to the face, to the people I love.

So what better than to start with the person I share my life with and let him know how much I truly appreciate him.

I love you dearie!
